The household of Jacoby Jones has requested for privateness and prayers following the information of the former Baltimore Ravens huge receiver’s dying on the age of 40.
In an announcement shared through X on Sunday, July 14, on behalf of Jones’ household, the NFL Gamers Affiliation expressed the household’s “gratitude for all the type ideas and assist” within the wake of Jones’ dying.
“We’re deeply saddened to share that Jacoby Jones, a beloved former Ravens soccer participant from New Orleans and a proud graduate of a traditionally Black faculty, has handed away on the age of 40,” the assertion learn.

Jones was a key element of the Ravens’ Tremendous Bowl XLVII win over the San Francisco 49ers in 2013. In that sport, he returned a kickoff 108 yards for a landing, which is the longest play in Tremendous Bowl historical past. The Ravens went on to a slender 34-31 victory.
